F3 Qualifying at Silverstone: a Solid and Strategic Top 10
The Formula 3 weekend at Silverstone started on a promising note for Théophile Naël. During Friday's qualifying, held in dry conditions, the French driver quickly found the right rhythm on the legendary British circuit.
With a time of 1’45’’522, he ranked 9th on the starting grid for the main race, just four tenths off the pole position of Nikola Tsolov. This performance gives him an excellent position for the sprint race, as he will start in 4th place due to the inversion of the Top 12.

Sprint Race: an Exceptional Start… but a Cruel Penalty
On Saturday, under a threatening sky but on a dry track, Théophile achieved a stellar start from the second row. From the first corners, he took the lead of the race, right under the noses of his rivals, showing remarkable boldness.
For several laps, he brilliantly resisted attacks, engaging in superb battles on a circuit with particularly strict limits. However, as he finished 4th on the track, his performance was overshadowed by a double penalty: 10 seconds for exceeding track limits and an additional 5 seconds post-race.
Final Result: 19th Place
A bitter setback, especially given his mastery at the front. But this kind of experience strengthens race management skills and highlights the difficulties of competing in an increasingly competitive F3 grid.

Main Race: a Masterpiece in the Rain, and a Well-Deserved Podium
On Sunday, the weather took a turn. Heavy rain, reduced visibility, and changing conditions… but this does not stop Théophile.
Starting 9th, he made a perfect start and was already in 2nd place by the end of the first lap. He avoided pitfalls, remained consistent and precise on a now tricky track. Where other drivers made mistakes, Théophile managed his wet tires perfectly and maintained a steady pace.
He finished 2nd, securing his second podium in Formula 3 after Melbourne, thus confirming his talent in extreme conditions.
