Barcelona: Théophile on the top step after a perfect weekend

In Barcelona, for the third round of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 season, Théophile achieved his most successful weekend since the start of the year. Having already performed very well in Melbourne and then in Monaco, this time he capitalised with another pole position, a perfectly controlled Feature Race and his first victory in Formula 3.

This success marks an important turning point in his season. Thanks to the points scored in Spain, Théophile climbs to second place in the drivers' championship and confirms that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the battle at the front.

A third consecutive pole

Right from qualifying, Théophile confirmed his excellent momentum by claiming another pole position. With a lap of 1:28.263, he once again proved decisive in the flying lap exercise, delivering the best performance at the key moment of the session.

This pole, his third in a row after Melbourne and Monaco, highlights Théophileu2019s consistency at the highest level since the start of the season. It confirms his pure speed, accuracy and ability to make the difference when every thousandth of a second counts.

I am very happy to take this third consecutive pole. The car was performing well and the team did a great job.

A useful Sprint Race to prepare for what lies ahead

On Saturday, the reversed grid for the Sprint Race placed Théophile further back in the pack. In a lively race, the main goal was to stay clean, gather information on tyre degradation and prepare for Sunday's Feature Race.

On a circuit as demanding as Barcelona, this data was invaluable. It allowed Théophile and Campos Racing to approach the Feature Race with a clear idea of the management required over the distance.

A controlled Feature Race

On Sunday, Théophile started from pole position. In Barcelona, the long straight to the first corner always makes the start tricky, but he managed his getaway perfectly to maintain the lead despite pressure from Hiyu Yamakoshi.

Once settled in the lead, Théophile had to remain focused. Yamakoshi stayed close for a large part of the race, but he was able to control his pace, preserve his tyres and maintain the advantage at the key moments.

Error-free, strong on the restarts and precise in his management, Théophile led the race from start to finish to claim his first victory in Formula 3. A victory built with calmness, maturity and control.

This first victory in Formula 3 means a lot. It was crucial to stay focused, manage the tyres and see this result through to the end.

A strong result with Campos Racing

This success is also a fantastic collective result with Campos Racing. On home soil, the Spanish team confirmed its excellent start to the season with Théophile's victory and Ugo Ugochukwu's third place.

Having already been highly competitive since the start of the year, Campos Racing continues to assert itself as one of the benchmarks on the grid. For Théophile, winning with the team at the Spanish Grand Prix gives even more significance to this weekend.

Second in the championship

Beyond the victory, Barcelona had a direct impact on the standings. Thanks to this result, Théophile climbs to second place in the drivers' championship with 52 points, just six units behind the leader.

After three rounds, he clearly establishes himself among the drivers to watch in the fight for the top spots. The speed had been there since the start of the season; in Barcelona, it was converted into victory and big points.

Next stop: Spielberg

The continuation of the championship will come very quickly with the next round in Spielberg, Austria, from 26 to 28 June. On the Red Bull Ring, a short and fast circuit where gaps are often very tight, qualifying will once again be decisive.

Théophile will arrive there with very strong momentum: three consecutive poles, a first victory in Formula 3 and second place in the championship. The objective will now be to extend this consistency and continue to capitalise in the championship race.

Barcelona will remain a reference weekend: one of confirmation, of a first victory, and of a major milestone reached in his 2026 season.
